Hollywood - worthy of attention or not?

I actually say that Hollywood is absolutely worthy of attention when we talk about cinema.
I know there are people who would say thet Hollywood is not the place to make real movies but how can you explain existance of such films made in hollywood like Star Wars, Butterfly Effect, Gataka, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Fight Club, Requiem For a Dream, 21 Gramm and some others?
I think that Hollywood can produce very good movies but that is a facto4ry for filmaking where mone makes money and that is the only reason why neglecting it, isn't it?

So - is Hollywood so worthless?

If asking wether hollywood is good at movies and tv, i say yes. but i hate how political it is ,. so many actors are way to the left it makes it hard to seperate the actor from their opinion.
there are actors i disagree with on politics, but enjoy in film, while others i refuse to watch at all.
I do not mind a fair shot at my beliefs, but draw the line at low blows...

I have to agree that hollywood is politicaly overwhelmed.
But at leas such directors like Gerge Lucas do their job perfectly.

the idea that I personally like about Hollywood is that they make movies together with foreigners and make them the best.


Besides they promote some movies made in europe and asia. This is how people found out about HERO, House of the Flying Daggers and Mamay.
